# Multi-Factor Authentication

TOTP-based two-factor authentication.

## Overview

Add an extra layer of security with time-based one-time password (TOTP) authentication.

## Setup Process

1. Go to Security Settings
2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication
3. Scan QR code with authenticator app
4. Enter verification code
5. Save backup codes

## Supported Authenticator Apps

* Google Authenticator
* Authy
* Microsoft Authenticator
* 1Password
* Any TOTP-compatible app

## Backup Codes

* Generate 10 backup codes
* Use if you lose access to authenticator
* Each code can only be used once
* Regenerate codes anytime

## Admin Controls

Administrators can:

* Require MFA for all users
* Require MFA for specific roles
* Reset user MFA
* View MFA adoption rates
